Elsevier Clinical Skills—Resources You Don't Want to Miss

Since October, Elsevier Clinical Skills has been the space where all validation assignments are made for clinical team members. These assignments need to be completed during orientation and annually. If you have not yet logged in to your Elsevier account on Inside Carilion, this job aid can help you. 

Orientation Assignments

As a reminder, if you had any in-process orientation, post-orientation, or advanced Cornerstone checklists that were completed after Oct. 15, 2025:

• Send the completed checklist to your director and to the Education and Organizational Development email box at educationandorganizationaldevelopment@carilionclinic.org.  

All clinical new-hire and transfer orientation assignments are loaded into Elsevier Clinical Skills during new hire week.  

Your Resources  

We know moving from Cornerstone to Elsevier Clinical Skills takes some adjustment. There are many resources to help you complete the transition.

For All Elsevier Clinical Learners

If you have not taken or need a refresher as an Elsevier Learner, you may:

• Enroll in Elsevier Clinical Skills for Learners - Workday  
• Refer to this job aid for the Learner with Elsevier assignments 

For the Validator or Preceptor (clinical)
