A new infusion center is now open to patients on 1 South at CRMH.
The unit is located in space that was formerly occupied by CTaC, the Health Sciences Library and classrooms. It has eight infusion bays, including one negative-pressure room to treat patients who require airborne isolation precautions.

The Western Virginia Workforce Development Board, in partnership with Carilion Clinic, United Way of Roanoke Valley and the Roanoke City and Alleghany Health District, has received a $414,938 federal grant to help with area COVID-19 efforts. The funding will be used to create nine new community health worker positions.
The inaugural Carilion Clinic IRONMAN 70.3 took place in Roanoke June 4 - 6. It included a 1.2-mile swim in Carvins Cove, a 56-mile bike course from Peaks of Otter to Vinton on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, and a 13.1-mile (half-marathon) run on the Roanoke River Greenway.

Beginning mid-September, part of South Jefferson Street will be closed to traffic while we construct a pedestrian bridge connecting the Crystal Spring Tower to the facilities and parking garage across the street. We expect this work to take about three months.
The impacted area is one block of South Jefferson Street between McClanahan Street SW and the traffic light in front of CRMH.
