Neurosurgery scheduled a patient for a procedure that required thorough preoperative optimization. Ashlyn Campbell, PA and Rachel Schreier, NP played key roles in coordinating the necessary steps and ensuring the patient was fully prepared. Their efforts were instrumental in helping us proceed safely to surgery!
Some germs, predominantly bacteria and fungi, have developed the ability to resist antibiotics that were previously effective in treating them. These resistant germs are referred to as Multi drug resistant organisms (MDRO’s), and examples of these germs are MRSA & VRE. This resistance can make certain infections difficult to treat and cause serious illness.

CFMH Enrichment Committee sponsored a collaboration with Community Partnership to enter six scarecrows in the Scarecrow Trail. Departments including Acute Care, ICU, ED, Home Care, Environmental Services and the Enrichment Committee put up scarecrows along the trail at CFMH. The Enrichment Committee won a certificate for Most Unique though they were all GREAT!! Thanks to Nikki Harris, ED for this creation!!!
