Congratulations to Dottie Cadd on winning the BEE Award!

The BEE Award recognizes the extraordinary work of our unlicensed nursing support staff.  This award honors nursing support staff members, like Dottie, who go above and beyond for our patients and their families. Thank you Dottie, for "Bee-ing Excellent Everyday"!

Dottie has an immense ability to anticipate our needs before we even know we have them. Without complaint, she is always willing to make countless trips to the lab and mini-d. She is able to keep our supplies, equipment and cables in working order by diligently placing work orders in for us. On days Dottie is working, you only ever hear the phone or tube station ring once. Dottie facilitates phone calls, puts patients family members at ease and tends to our patient needs. She is recognized by other departments for her expediency and urgency. She has willingly taken on orientees from other units to help prepare them in their new role. Dottie deserves to be recognized for her strong work ethic and her commitment to Carilion, her patients and team. Her work does not deserve to go unnoticed. She is the glue that holds us together.
