Philip Strole, Chief Perfusionist selected for National Leadership Symposium
The American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology (AmSECT) hosts a Leadership Symposium consisting of a series of four, monthly webinars and a one-day, in-person symposium held at the AmSECT International Conference geared toward aspiring perfusion leaders. The AmSECT Leadership Task Force reviews applications, and attendees are selected based on their qualifications, experience and personal statement. The Symposium is for perfusionists who are current or aspiring leaders, including those currently in management positions who desire to improve their leadership potential. Course objectives include:
- Develop your individual leadership style
- Identify the challenges unique to the perfusionist
- Build connections with leaders in the perfusion field
- Explore strategies for building a team
- Describe tangible practices to optimize your relationship with your boss
It is a great honor to announce that Philip Strole, Chief Perfusionist for Carilion Clinic has been accepted into the 2023 Leadership Symposium Class. Philip began leading at an early age as a lifeguard. He continued his quest for excellence by graduating from The Citadel, where he was a leader among leaders. It was then he decided to go to perfusion school. We are so thankful to have Philip leading our perfusion team. His dedication to precision and excellence is palpable.
