1,000 On-Demand Visits Achieved

Carilion Now, our 24/7 virtual urgent care, was introduced to employees in May and to the public later in June. This month, the Digital Health team celebrates the success of over 1,000 patient visits through the Carilion Now mobile app or website, CarilonNow.com.

Here are some other interesting facts about Carilion Now: 

• 67% of the users have been female and 32% have been male 
• Top online urgent care users are between ages 30-39 
• The most utilized day is Sunday between 9 a.m. - noon 
• Over 3,000 patients have enrolled within the system and are ready to start a visit when needed

With your assistance in helping to test the app and talk to our patients about options for care, they know that online visits are a great option for fast care, anytime. Carilion Now visits continue to address patient symptoms such as allergies, cold/flu, respiratory issues, urinary tract infections, eye irritations and nausea.
