Outstanding Preceptor Award

On October 17th, The Nursing Center of Excellence awarded the Outstanding Preceptor Award to Lexie Pollard, RN.  Leaders from the Nursing Center of Excellence presented her with the award alongside her team members and unit leaders. Kate Meredith, LPN, who submitted the nomination said that Lexie "took the utmost of care to teach, explain, demonstrate, and reinforce the education and knowledge that I needed to be the best nurse I could be here at Carilion. Throughout my orientation she not only taught me, but made sure that I knew I could ask any questions necessary and she always took the time to make sure I understood everything; never once did I feel as though I did not have a safe place to learn."  Lexie's commitment and compassion toward not only her patients, but also to her Carilion Clinic family, deserves to be recognized and celebrated.  Congratulations!
