CRBH ED Scenario Success!

Submitted by hlpenix on

CRBH Emergency Department, Infection Prevention and Emergency Management participated in a surprise learning scenario to simulate suspect monkeypox patients arriving at the ED.  The staff stayed calm, participated as if it were a real situation and met the learning objectives.  They were able to quickly identify, isolate and inform thus keeping both patients and staff safe.

Dianna Coffey, RN, MSN, CFRN, co-author and lead editor of Human Patient Simulation for Transport Environments, applied moulage to the actors as well as helped to write and facilitate the scenario.

Great job and thank you to all who participated today!  You are committed to patient and staff safety and continuous learning!
