CCPT Commitment

Sarah Ballard and Josh Dailey were returning from an out-of-town trip and volunteered to be held over their shift to get a hospice patient discharged back home.  Thank you both for your commitment to our patients and the community in which we serve. 

In the words of the social worker:
I reached out to your team and explained the sensitive nature of this situation.  I completely understand how overwhelmed your department is with requests and trying to accommodate everyone's needs so I didn't expect that much could be done to expedite this request.  I was unbelievably thankful when Lindsay called to let me know that a crew who was returning from a run to VCU was willing to stay late to get this gentleman home more quickly.  I just wanted you to be aware of what an amazing job your team does on a daily basis but thought you should know that in this situation they definitely went above and beyond the call of duty.  I am truly grateful and I'm sure this patient and caregiver would echo those sentiments!
