WOW to our Radiation Therapy TEAM!

Last week our Radiation Therapy Team demonstrated superb dedication to their patient's treatment needs. An unexpected equipment event caused one of our machines to be out of commission leaving 80 patients to be treated on one machine.  The therapists quickly went to work dividing themselves into teams to ensure their patients would receive their daily treatments.  The staff was committed to making this plan work even though they knew that it could take days to weeks of working these hours.  The staff started at 0530 and did not end until 0130 the next morning for four days last week.  Please join me in thanking our radiation TEAM for their courage, commitment, and passion to the ones they care for everyday. They are an awesome TEAM! 

Also, special thinks to the Cathy Sargent, the radiation leadership team, and all of those who engaged to go the extra mile to get things done like added security and extra lighting in the parking lot.  It takes a village to turn something like this on a dime. Also, special thanks to all of the patients who worked with our team to take less convenient treatment times.
