CGCH recognized nationally for ZERO C-diff infections

Submitted by jdbailey on

The CDC and National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) measures how often patients in a particular hospital contract certain types of infections during the course of medical treatment.  The measures apply to all patients treated in acute care hospitals, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal.  CGCH was recognized as being one of 331 hospitals nation-wide without a C-diff infection from October 1, 2019- March 3, 2021.  Many departments and disciplines are responsible for this great accomplishment!  Through improved hand hygiene, enhanced cleaning practices, and antibiotic stewardship, Giles has moved the mark on this metric.  We are so proud of this team and the great care they provide to our patients and community.
