COVID screener’s small daily gesture has large impact on Cancer Center patient experience.

Karen Dillon joined our team as front door screener and has used her artistic talent to positively enhance the daily required screening process for our patients. Along with logging the temperature on the daily screening stickers, she takes the time to embellish each one with motivational words and a cheerful doodle. This extra effort had such an impact on Stephen Graves that he has kept every sticker for every day of his radiation treatments.  Being a local art teacher, he has used his talents to matt and frame each sticker as a remembrance of his journey at Carilion Cancer Center.
