Stories of the Heart Video: Patients Reflect on Their Care

Stories of the Heart is an annual program that brings together our cardiac, thoracic and vascular teams to meet some of the patients they have had the honor of treating. Each year, a few patients are featured; they have the opportunity to tell their story and thank their care teams.

Each year, we host a Stories of the Heart celebration to feature these filmed stories and invite all recognized staff—as well as any other staff who want to attend. 

Due to COVID-19, 2020’s event unfortunately had to be canceled. In its place, we’d like to share a collection of featured patients from past years. We look forward to re-igniting this program in 2021 and sharing just a small part of the extraordinary care at Carilion!
