CNRV Inpatient DAISY Award Winner

Dana Hodges, RN works as a Clinical Administrator at CNRVMC. She was nominated for the Daisy award for providing compassion and commitment towards a patient in a couple difficult situations. Thank you Dana! Here is what the patient had to say:

Dana is one of the nurses that makes such an impact on your hospital stay that even after you get home you can’t stop thinking about her and all the things she did to make your situation better. My epidural didn’t work and was removed; but pain medicine wasn’t ordered beforehand. No one could get in touch with the doctor for the order (over 2.5 hours!). I finally called Dana and was SOBBING- within 15 minutes or so she got an order for a PCA and had it up and running right then. I don’t remember a lot about it, but my husband said she was a miracle worker. A few nights later, we could not get my new ostomy to stop leaking- we changed it at least 5 times. She came over and spent about 30-45 minutes working on it. It was the only one I’ve ever had that didn’t leak. She is heaven sent. The best nurse at CNRVMC.
