We’ve updated several policies over the last few months, including one about social media.
Our Social Media and Online Activity policy guides our online interactions as employees of Carilion.
When we’re on social media, we are all representatives of the organization.
Review the updated policies to be sure you understand them—our actions are reflections of how we live our organization’s values.

Social media offers great opportunities to connect with our community, share helpful information and highlight the positive things we’re doing both in and out of work. In fact, if you’re not following Carilion on our accounts, we hope you’ll give us a “like” or a “friend request” soon! (We’re on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and on Facebook as Carilion Clinic and Carilion@Work).

When you're on social media, be mindful of what you are posting, especially if it is about your work or includes photos of you in your work environment. Patient information of any kind should never be included in your posts.

Keep in mind that anything you post online can be shared broadly. Please know that members of the community often forward us remarks they find inappropriate by those they think are Carilion employees. All reports are forwarded to Human Resources for review.
