Jefferson College's Karen Chambers Named Top Site Visitor by ARC/STSA
Congratulations to Karen Chambers, CST, FAST, MHA/Ed, Assistant Professor in the Surgical Technology Program at Jefferson College of Health Sciences, for being named a "Gold Miner" at the annual conference for the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA) in Charleston, South Carolina earlier this month.
The honor recognizes Karen's dedication to serving as a site visitor for fellow schools' programs to assess their compliance with the standards that ensure quality delivery of patient care. ARC/STSA recognizes members in Gold, Silver and Copper categories based on their number of site visits during the year. Karen was the top site visitor in 2017 with 5+ visits, which landed her in the Gold category!
The ARC/STSA is a private accreditation services agency providing national recognition for higher education programs in surgical technology and surgical assisting, in collaboration with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), in order to promote quality surgical patient care through quality credible education.
Way to go, Karen!
