Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Pharmacists work to get very expensive outpatient prescriptions approved by insurance!

I would like to recognize 5 pharmacists for their outstanding work getting two very expensive outpatient prescriptions approved by insurance:  Lauren McDaniel, PharmD, BCIDP; Nathan Everson, PharmD, BCIDP, AAHIVE; Melissa White, PharmD; Nicki Rozette, PharmD, BCPPS; Lark Dunton, RPh

These 5 pharmacists worked diligently for nearly a week to get two very expensive discharge medications approved by a patient’s insurance company – the total cost for these medications would have been nearly $20,000 combined.  This team worked closely to make sure the right information was provided in a very complicated case and peer to peer conversations took place between our providers and the insurance company.  This allowed the patient to be safely discharged with the necessary medications.  Great job!
