Congrats to Erin Casey, the 2019 Red Cross Medical Hero!

Erin, our Community Mental Health Supervisor with Carilion Clinic Community Health and Outreach is a young person in recovery that created Carilion’s #allin Peer Support Program from the ground up! It’s purpose is to create a culture of mental wellbeing through community support, education and training and advocacy and awareness. It trains people in recovery from substance use disorders and mental illness to assist others on their journey and to reduce the shame and stigma associates with those illnesses.
