Chaplaincy Certification

On February 27th, Robin Williamson (CRMH 3rd shift chaplain) passed her chaplaincy boards and is now a Board Certified Chaplain.  Board certification as a chaplain is a process and may take candidates several years to complete.  To  be board certified a chaplain must have completed 72 graduate theological hours, complete 4 units of clinical pastoral education, serve one year as a full-time chaplain, and meet 31 professional competencies.  In addition to this significant professional accomplishment for Robin, it completes a departmental goal.  Now every full-time hospital chaplain in Roanoke and the Western Division is Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains.
