Carilion Clinic Toastmasters Club receives recognition as Distinguished Club and Sends Member Deb Ferron, DTM to Toastmasters Division Director Role!
Spending time with the Carilion Clinic Toastmasters, a Carilion sponsored group focusing on Public Speaking, Communication and Leadership is a joy! Congratulations to the group, who has earned the exclusive “Distinguished Club" designation for the 2025-2026 program year!
This highly coveted honor is awarded by Toastmasters International, recognizing clubs that demonstrate outstanding dedication to member success. Congratulations to club officers Sherman Bamford, Eve Shelton, Elvir Sabanovic for their dedication and work!
As another testament of the program success, Deb Ferron is honored to be appointed Division F Director, District 218 and will serve the speaking skills needs and success of 18 other clubs with 315 members throughout Southwest Virginia. We could not do these things without the support this wonderful place to work that encourages everyone to share our strengths for the betterment of others!
The Carilion Clinic Toastmasters Club provides a supportive and positive environment where members are empowered to develop their communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
The club is sponsored by HR and is open to all Carilion employees. New members and guests are always welcome to visit meetings, which take place from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays virtually by Teams and in CRMH 13th floor conference room on the 3rd Thursday.
