Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday work across Carilion Clinic. Our teams are are using AI to explore ideas, improve efficiency, and reduce repetitive work. As these capabilities grow, it is important that we use them securely, responsibly, and in accordance with Carilion’s AI governance and related privacy and security requirements.

Carilion’s Enterprise AI team helps employees understand the AI tools available to them and how to use those tools appropriately. The team can help you:
Determine whether an approved AI solution already exists within Carilion.
Identify opportunities to improve a workflow with AI.
Evaluate a proposed AI use case.
Navigate AI governance, security, and responsible-use requirements.
Connect with technical experts for more advanced projects.
Learn about capabilities in Epic, ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, ServiceNow and Workday.
 

Employees can request access to Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise through the standard access-request process in Employee Center. Once approved, employees receive access to a secure enterprise environment designed to support Carilion’s security and privacy requirements.
