Magnet Moment: International Nurses Transition to Practice
Department Highlighted: Transition to Practice
Description of the Work
The Transition to Practice Team, led by Taylor Williams, successfully onboarded 180 international registered nurses between April 2025 and April 2026. The team developed a comprehensive welcome experience that connects these nurses with essential resources, including cultural support, spiritual care, community engagement opportunities, wellness services, and structured mentorship pairings.
In addition, the team established a dedicated nurse residency track tailored to the unique needs of international nurses. Ongoing monthly engagement events are offered to foster community integration, encourage exploration of the region, and promote overall wellbeing.
