Our Star Ratings Have Been Released

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released its latest Star Ratings for 2026.

CNRV, CFMH, and CGCH maintained 4-Star ratings; CRBH maintained a 3-Star rating and CMC received a 3-Star rating. CTCH was not rated due to its service mix.

These publicly reported ratings reflect how reliably we deliver the basics of excellent care, every day, for every patient. For patients, they provide a simple, trusted way to compare hospitals on safety, outcomes, and overall care experience when making healthcare decisions. CMS Star Ratings remains one of the most widely used resources for choosing care.

We perform well in CMS Stars and fulfill our mission when we consistently:

• Keep patients at the center of every decision
• Prevent harm (HAIs, falls, pressure injuries)
• Reduce avoidable readmissions
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care that is high value
• Communicate in a manner that is understandable by our patients and families

While other public reporting programs, like U.S. News and Leapfrog, focus on specific measures, Star Ratings consider the full continuum of care a hospital provides, including readmissions, additional mortality measures, and specialty-specific metrics. However, because the Star Rating program uses performance data from 2021 to 2024, recent improvements are not yet reflected. Even so, the progress we are making by focusing on the fundamentals of a quality patient experience is helping lay a stronger foundation for future results.

As we move forward together, we remain focused on reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), enhancing the overall patient experience, and lowering mortality outcomes.
