Stay Alert: Fake Help Desk Teams Calls

We have seen some recent phishing attempts with scammers sending excessive spam emails and then following up with a Teams call impersonating our Technology Services Group. The Teams call said that the caller was “Help Desk.”

Our TSG team does not usually call employees unless the employee has submitted a ticket. If you receive a call from someone at TSG, you will see their name and not “Help Desk.”

Be on the alert—if you receive a large number of spam emails in a short period of time, contact the Technology Service Center (TSC) at 540-224-1599 (71599). Do not answer Teams calls from “Help Desk.”
