Our Employee Art Show Begins Wednesday, May 27

Our Employee Art Show is back for its 10th year—stop by the CRMH lobby atrium May 27 through June 19 to see artwork from Carilion employees, volunteers, retirees, and family members.

 A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 5 – 7 p.m., in the south lobby.

About the Employee Art Show

The Employee Art Show is an initiative of the Dr. Robert L.A. Keeley Healing Arts Program in partnership with The National Arts Program. The theme for this year’s show is “Shaping a Culture of Care,” reflecting the combined impact of our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve and our 5 values of community, courage, commitment, compassion, and curiosity.

All Carilion employees, volunteers, retirees, and immediate family members were invited to participate and compete for cash prizes.

Artwork will be publicly displayed Wednesday, May 27 through Friday, June 19 in the lobby atrium at CRMH. It will be judged by art professionals. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 5 – 7 p.m., in the south lobby.

Prize Categories

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• Adult – Individual (amateur, intermediate, professional)
• Best of Show (awarded to adult category)
• Youth (12 and under)/Teen (13-18)
• Art Education (awarded to youth or teen category)
• Department Collaboration (for pieces done by 3 or more people representing a singular department)

Additional awards including Honorable Mentions and Community Impact will be decided at the discretion of the judges.
