CVI OR Team Lights the Way with Virginia’s First LumiGuide Case!

Congratulations to Dr. Eric Ambroz and the CVI OR team for successfully performing the first LumiGuide case in Virginia! 

We are the 12th facility in the nation to have this cutting-edge technology at our disposal. This is a significant milestone and a remarkable advancement for our medical team and patients.

So, what is LumiGuide?

Instead of depending mostly on X-rays, LumiGuide is a new technology that uses light inside special medical wires to create a live, 3D picture of the tools as they move through blood vessels.

This means:

• Less radiation for patients and medical teams
• Clearer views during complex procedures
• More precise treatment
