Super Proud of Some AMAZING Neurodiagnostics Techs!
I wanted to recognize some incredible Neurodiagnostics Techs for their amazing Teamwork and Compassion this past week during the snow/ice emergency event. Haley Mundy and Brittney Arrington walked to work for their shifts. Isaac Dailey got stuck on the way into work, left his vehicle and walked another 2 miles to work. Jason Reed also got stuck on his way into work for his night shift and walked the rest of the way to the hospital. (His wife too, shot out to Katie Reed!) Mohamed Doughim managed to almost get home from his night shift, could not safely park his vehicle and came back to the hospital to sleep so he would be here the next night for his shift. Both Sharday Rosser and Felix Escano walked a quarter of a mile to a safe location for someone to pick them up for their shift. Danielle Irvin made it in for her shift battling roads that hadn't been touched. Sherri Pratt made it in from Boones Mill for her shift. Damon Orr made it in for all of his shifts. AnnMarie Barfield and Giuliana Dimattia both made it in for their night shifts this week. Haley Mundy also arranged carpool rides for the department. Damon Orr picked up a tech to get him to and from work. And Rachael Harmeling picked up a coworker from the hospital and took her home on her day off! (I hope I didn't forget anyone! So many awesome people)
These are amazing examples of just how far my staff will go to take care of our patients and help their co-workers! I am sure countless other employees throughout the organization did exactly the same thing as this group. It speaks volumes for the caliber of employees that work in the Neurodiagnostics Department and throughout all of Carilion. Again, thank you for this group of techs that rose to the occasion when our patients and staff needed them! Super Proud and grateful for these techs!
