Great Catch - Kelli Belcher, RN - CFMH ED

Kelli Belcher, RN, in the CFMH Emergency Department, was nominated by Tracy Kiely, RN, for a Great Catch award for her exceptional attention to detail and strong assessment skills.

While caring for a diabetic patient with sepsis, Kelli noticed subtle but significant changes in the patient’s behavior compared to her prior assessment. Trusting her clinical judgment, she immediately rechecked the patient’s blood sugar, identified a critical low level, and intervened quickly.

Kelli’s timely actions prevented further deterioration of the patient’s condition and exemplify excellence in patient care and vigilance in clinical practice.
