Outstanding Initiative Theo!

Huge shoutout to Theo Akey, Clinical Associate on 8 MICU, for going above and beyond for our team and patients. Theo noticed that one of our ultrasound machine probes wasn’t working and didn’t stop at just reporting the issue. He personally reached out to the manufacturer, confirmed the machine was still under warranty, and initiated the warranty replacement process.

Because of Theo’s initiative and follow-through, the replacement probe arrived the very next day, and the unit was without this critical equipment for less than 24 hours. This is a great example of ownership, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving. Thank you, Theo, for making a real difference!
