CRBH Earns EPA's Energy Star Certification for the 3rd time!

Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital (CRBH) has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR® certification for superior energy efficiency. This recognition is awarded to buildings that outperform 75 percent of similar buildings nationwide. This is the 3rd time that CRBH has earned this award, representing their sustained commitment to environmental protection and energy performance.

Being an ENERGY STAR certified building, means that CRBH is using less energy, reducing greenhouse gas emission, and lowering costs!  Studies have shown that ENERGY STAR certified buildings have lower operating costs and contribute fewer greenhouse gas emissions to the environment. Additionally, the ENERGY STAR label (which will be displayed at CRBH) is recognized by 90 percent of consumers. By displaying the ENERGY STAR at the facility entrance, we communicate our commitment to environmental responsibility, and demonstrating that we’re doing our part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and preserve public health today and for future generations.
