VelocityCare Roanoke Extends Morning Hours
To help meet the increased demand during the cold and flu season, VelocityCare Roanoke at 419/Electric Road is extending its hours beginning Sunday, Nov. 16.
The clinic will open at 7 a.m., Sunday through Thursday—an hour earlier than usual. From 7 – 8 a.m., services will be available for walk-in appointments only, giving patients more flexibility to get care before getting on with their day. This change is only at the 419/Electric Road location.
“We’re making this change to better serve our community, providing fast, convenient care when it’s needed most,” says Bill Wilson, senior director with VelocityCare.
The benefits of this change go beyond convenience. Opening earlier helps direct patients with minor issues away from the Emergency Department (ED), so ED teams can focus on real emergencies. It also spreads patient visits throughout the day, making it easier for staff to manage the flow and avoid busy rush hours. Plus, when patients can get care sooner, wait times drop—reducing stress for both patients and staff.
Patients can continue to Save a Spot online or walk in during regular hours, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., daily.
