Inspections on CRMH's West Tower Brick and Limestone This Week

Beginning the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 21, inspections of CRMH's West Tower façade will begin, and continue through Friday, Oct. 24.

What You Need to Know

• The inspections will involve cuts to the North brick façade and bore scoping at the southwest limestone areas of the building. Only the face of the building will be affected; the interior of the building will not be impacted or exposed. 
   
• Equipment used to make the cuts will be noisy.
   
• Workers on swing scaffolding will be working their way down from the top of the building to make cuts into the brick facing. They will be visible to traffic and pedestrians.
   
• Patients and employees on the north side of the West Tower (closest to Belleview Avenue) also may see the workers on swing scaffolding from inside the hospital.
   
• Care teams should proactively close blinds in patient rooms to maximize patient privacy, so patients are not alarmed to see workers outside.
   
• Contact your leader if you receive patient complaints.
   
• These inspections will not require further closures to the West Tower; current construction closures are sufficient to keep patients and employees safe while these inspections take place.
