New Special Conservators of the Peace Role

To enhance safety and strengthen support for behavioral health teams, Carilion Clinic Police and Security has launched a Special Conservator of the Peace (SCOP) role within our organization.

 This role provides dedicated security support for patients in custodial care, ensuring that our police officers remain available for broader law enforcement functions while SCOPs focus on keeping our staff, patients, and visitors safe.
