Preparing for Nexus Go-live
A Message from President and CEO Steve Arner
We are entering the final weeks before Nexus go-live—a project that has been two years in the making. I know many of you are excited about this change. I’m looking forward to making processes easier for our teams. As a reminder, UKG Pro Workforce goes live Sept. 21, and Workday and the expanded Employee Center go live Oct. 1.
A technology project this size is a big undertaking and it’s important to be prepared. It’s an exciting change: We are moving from outdated technology to modern systems—it’s like moving from a landline to an iPhone. And it will only get better from here.
During the coming weeks, take the following preparations that will help us make this transition as smooth as possible:
- Now: Review the Nexus Guide to Go-live for Employees. Register in Cornerstone for the training you need, or your leader may have assigned it to you.
- Sept. 2 – 26: Try out the Exploration Environment and some of the quests. The Exploration Environment is a sandbox – use it to experience Workday in advance.
- By Sept. 15: Log into Cornerstone and save your detailed transcript and any attachments you may need. You only need to do this if you have a license or certification that requires detailed information from internal or external training you’ve added to Cornerstone. The Nexus Guide to Go-live for Employees provides instructions.
- By Sept. 20: Complete your UKG training.
- By Oct. 1: Complete the Nexus Go-live for Everyone curriculum in Cornerstone.
- Oct. 1 and after: Begin the Nexus Go-live Journey assigned to you in Workday. This is a series of tasks spread out over time to build your comfort in using Workday.
- By Oct. 15: Print a checklist report in Cornerstone. You only need to do this if you have an in-progress orientation checklist. The Nexus Guide to Go-live for Employees provides instructions.
- By Oct. 21: Complete all Workday training.
For our physician colleagues: You’ll receive information soon about a few Workday changes that will apply to you. Most physicians’ processes will be the same, and we do not anticipate physician-specific classes or e-Learning modules currently.
The Nexus hub has more info, including videos and policy links. We will continue to provide updates and reminders about Nexus in each week’s ePulse, so be sure to read it.
This is a big and exciting change. Thank you for your support!
Steve
