Brent Lorton: Master Project Manager, Problem Solver and Likely a Magician
Three cheers for Brent Lorton, legend of Crystal Spring Tower Project.
His adept management of vendors, stakeholders, testers, timelines, and meetings over the course of the build and inhabitation of the New Tower is to be commended with the highest honor. Always positive, with a figure-it-out approach to any and all issues that arose, Brent pulled off one of the most impressive project management feats I have witnessed at Carilion. In just a few minutes of shadowing him as opening day approached, I witnessed Brent meeting and directing vendor partners, troubleshooting tube system functionality, facilitating critical blood bank validation and orchestrating an integrated walkthrough of the new cath lab systems and personnel.
There are so many people who were part of the herculean effort required to successfully and safely open the new tower, and to all of you we give our gratitude.
To Brent I say, job well done, Sir. Get some rest.
