We’re Establishing Freestanding Emergency Departments in Westlake and Daleville

We’re finalizing plans to open our first freestanding Emergency Departments in Smith Mountain Lake’s Westlake area and in the Daleville Town Center area, providing advanced care close to home. 

The facilities will help us provide 24/7/365 advanced emergency medicine services to patients throughout Franklin County, Botetourt County and beyond in convenient locations. They’ll join the growing array of patient services we offer in those areas, including Carilion Children’s, VelocityCare, family medicine, imaging and more.

The new facilities in Westlake and Daleville will make sure families can get the emergency care they need, close to home, without delay,” said Wrenn Brendel, vice president of Emergency Services. “The facilities will be designed with dedicated parking and easy walk-in access to emergency services for patients during critical moments.” 

The freestanding Emergency Departments will include dedicated parking and easy walk-in access to make it easy for us to quickly care for our patients when they experience medical emergencies. 

We expect to break ground for these locations later this year.
