Register by July 1 to Attend the Freedom Festival

We are partnering with the City of Roanoke for the Freedom Festival on Thursday, July 3—an evening full of live music, food and drink, fireworks and family fun. As a Carilion employee, you and your family are invited to enjoy the event from a Carilion-only reserved section near the stage.

To RSVP, submit the registration form by Tuesday, July 1.

The event is held at River’s Edge Park – North, located off Reserve Avenue in Roanoke near CRMH. The map above shows the location of the stage and the Carilion section.

RSVP’ing gives you access to this special area as long as space is available. Space may be limited, so be sure to arrive early! RSVPing helps us to know how many people want to attend so we can plan appropriately. Look for the Carilion Clinic signs near the stage to check in. Bring your lawn chair, and enjoy a night of music, food and fireworks with your coworkers and loved ones.

Parking: 

We’ve secured permission from the city to use several parking areas:

• Riverside Parking Garage Note: Because of the construction, you will need follow the path between Riverside 1 and Riverside 3 to get to the field.
• Surface lot next to the River Walk Garage
• McClanahan Street Parking Garage

Schedule of Events

• 4 p.m.: Doors open
• 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.: Troublesome Blues Band
• 6 - 7:30 p.m.: Empty Bottles
• 7:45 - 9:15 p.m.: Empty Bottles and Roanoke All-Star Musicians
• 9:15 p.m.: Carilion special announcement
• 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks
