National Trauma Survivors Day (#NTSD)
May is National Trauma Awareness Month! Throughout the month the American Trauma Society (ATS) and trauma centers around the world emphasize safety, prevention and celebrate Trauma Survivors and the professionals who directly impact patient care.
- May 7th – Trauma Registry Professionals Day (https://www.insidecarilion.org/hub/wow/recognizing-our-trauma-registry-professionals)
- May 14th – Injury and Violence Prevention Professionals Day (https://www.insidecarilion.org/hub/wow/celebrating-injury-and-violence-prevention-0)
- May 21st – National Trauma Survivors Day (#NTSD) - Join the NTSD Celebration – TSN 2025
One way to help support and celebrate Trauma Survivors is by participating in the Race to Rebuild. The Race to Rebuild is a Virtual Walk, Run, Ride, or Roll that can be completed anytime during May. Registration is $35 and Trauma Patients/Survivors and their families can get 50% off by using the code SURVIVOR2025. All proceeds from registration goes to the Trauma Survivors Network to support the free resources provided through TSN site to patients and families worldwide.

Additionally, here locally, we are having a team day event Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 5pm and the Robert L.A. Keeley Healing Garden across from CRMH. Members of the trauma team, clinical staff, families, community supporters, and survivors will gather and walk the greenway together!
As we celebrate survivorship and resilience, we are also extremely grateful. Grateful to our dedicated trauma staff who provide phenomenal care to these patients, our organization for supporting the trauma program for over 40 years, and most grateful to the communities we serve for trusting us with their care and the care of their families in critical situations.
