Breaking Ground: A New Home for Primary Care in Tazewell
Family and Community Medicine held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, April 24 for a new primary care facility in Tazewell. Roger Roper, vice president, and Mark Greenawald, MD, interim chair, provided remarks to local leaders and Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital leaders and care teams.
The nearly 12,000-square-foot building, located at 282 Market Street, will enhance access to care, feature an on-site lab and provide additional space to better serve our patients. Staff from the current location will transition to the new facility, which is expected to open in early 2026.
