Carilion Police - Raccoon Wranglers?

Submitted by dfjoyce on

This week we had two raccoons drop through the ceiling at our physical therapy sports clinic in southeast Roanoke.  Fortunately, this occurred in a bathroom that was out of service.  After unsuccessful attempts to get a wildlife specialist to our clinic, we called our incredible Carilion Police.  Sgt. Crotts and Officer Witt responded and didn't hesitate to assist Shauna Farrington, PTA, in removing one of the raccoons. They used a trashcan to capture and get the critter outside.  This is Law Enforcement Day, so it's the perfect time to recognize these individuals for their commitment and dedication to helping no matter what the need.  This is what I call going above and beyond the call of duty!  Also, a huge shout out to Shauna!  The raccoon was released, and we hope he won't be back! Good to know we have qualified raccoon wranglers if he does come visit again.  Thanks again to all of you for a phenomenal team effort!
