A Tribute to Meg Burrow From Carilion Children's
Meg Burrow, a long-time patient of Carilion Children's and a Children's Miracle Network child, passed away in August from complications of a very rare genetic disorder: CTBP1.
Meg's condition meant she spent time with many caregivers at Carilion Children's. Many of those caregivers recorded remembrances of Meg to pay tribute to her life, which was unexpectedly cut short right after her 11th birthday. Meg's family members have been notable advocates for Carilion Children's through those eleven years, and beyond. We also recorded an extended version of this video.
