CFMH's Leslie Sechrist helps patient in getting her medications

from Amanda Robertson, CFMH Nursing Unit Director: While rounding we had an upset patient - patient said she had been told the previous day her long-term ABX would be $20 A DAY. She said she had good insurance but couldn't afford that so when was discharged she would just stop taking the ABX.  I spoke w/Leslie Sechrist who spent most of the day working on her med and insurance.  The next day Leslie reported that she had gotten the medication price down from $20 a day to LESS THAN $20 FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF HER TAKING THE MEDICATION! The patient was VERY appreciative.  Great working ensuring our patient got what she needed before discharge!
