CFMH recycles 74 pounds of aluminum tabs for Ronald McDonald House!
Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital collected, boxed, and delivered 74 pounds of aluminum can tabs to the Ronald McDonald House of SW Virginia for recycling! The Ronald McDonald House tab top collection and recycling program allows a small contribution to make a big difference in the lives of children and their families during a hard time. They recycle aluminum can tabs and use the funds received from recycling to run the daily operations of the house.
Thank you to everyone at CFMH who participated in this program, and took the extra step of taking the tab off of the can to collect it for recycling.
An additional thank you to Tracy McCown and Laura Yerkey for emptying the house, and to Guest Services who help assist employees or patients that bring in tabs.
Collections are continuing at CFMH, so make sure to save your tabs!
If you have questions about the Ronald McDonald program, please reach out to Marina Sotelo, Sustainability Program Manager (mcsotelo@carilionclinic.org).
