What is Compliance?

Compliance means following the laws, rules, regulations and external standards that apply to us. Our Compliance team can help you understand the rules that apply to your job and answer any questions you may have.

At Carilion, we have non-retaliation policies in place to support employees asking questions and reporting issues. No one who contacts Compliance in good faith will be subjected to reprisal, discipline or discrimination based on having asked a question or reported a concern.

Carilion employees are expected to:

• Act with integrity and honesty.
• Exercise good judgment.
• Ask questions when they have a question about a law, rule or regulation.
• Report suspected compliance violations to Compliance.
• Read and acknowledge the Code of Excellence.
