Roanoke Rehab Maintenance Team to the Rescue

On the Carilion Mental Health Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, we've had some challenges with a pediatric patient destroying ceiling fixtures and equipment during outbursts. Last week our Roanoke Rehab Maintenance Team came quickly to assess the damage and implemented quick and safe interventions to make the unit safe again. We had another incident today with even more damage and once again, Brian Weikel, Rickie Taylor, and Derrick Stinson were quick to run up to the floor and do what they do best! There were multiple items they addressed quickly and removed from the floor to ensure the safety of both the patients and staff on the unit.

We're thankful and lucky to have them and can trust that they're able to keep our building operational as much as feasibly possible!
