Hurricane Helene: How We Can Help

The past few days have brought heartbreaking news about our colleagues, families and friends who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene.

If you have been personally impacted, our Employee Emergency Fund can provide financial assistance in emergency situations like this. In fact, we’ve already helped several employees. To request help, download the Employee Emergency Fund application.

If you’d like to support our colleagues in need, you may make a donation to the Employee Emergency Fund as part of the Carilion Clinic Foundation’s annual employee giving campaign.

To help those in western North Carolina, northeast Tennessee or far southwest Virginia, where the hurricane’s effects were most damaging, you may donate funds to the American Red Cross. Our local chapters are not able to take in-kind donations, such as water, food or other supplies. Rescue agencies said that donating funds is the best way to help hurricane victims right now.

Blood donations are always needed. We have numerous blood drives planned in our facilities over the next few months.

Nothing makes me prouder to be part of Carilion than the way we pull together when we are needed to help our communities.
