Martinsville Speedway Brings Teddy Bears, Smiles to Carilion Children's
The Martinsville Speedway pace car made a special delivery to Carilion Children’s Tanglewood Center on Monday, Sept. 9!
In honor of National Teddy Bear Day, The NASCAR Foundation donated 40 stuffed teddy bears and presented a $10,000 gift to Carilion Children’s as part of the Speedy Bear initiative with Martinsville Speedway. Bear houses, crayons and activity books were also donated. The bears and other items will be given to Carilion Children’s Tanglewood patients.
This is the second year Carilion Children’s has been selected to receive the gift and donations because of its importance to the Martinsville community.
