YES Welcomes Second Group of Participants
YES (Your Efforts, Supported) is a Carilion-funded program that paves a path for participants to learn, earn additional certifications and further their education to meet career goals—all while helping us fill important positions within our health system.
Our current participants in the program receive current Carilion wages and benefits while training and going to school full-time. We want to celebrate our second group of participants! To apply to the program for next year, the application will be announced on Inside Carilion.
A reception and orientation was held this summer to welcome the participants, who are beginning their next chapter through YES. Check out pictures from the event and what participants and program organizers had to say.
"Being a single mom, I want to be a good role model and show my daughter if you put your mind to your dreams and goals you can get there. I just never give up."

"The YES Program is perfect timing with the recent diagnosis of my son with Type 1 diabetes. The program will help him with childcare and that's amazing."
