The BEE (Being Excellent Everyday) Award recognizes support staff members who go above and beyond in their roles to deliver exceptional service and compassion. Launched at the beginning of FY24, Carilion’s outpatient/ambulatory department presents the third quarter BEE Award to Dianne Brown, HAA, CIM Westlake.

She was nominated by a couple that moved to Smith Mountain Lake after 44 years of military service. Dianne kept them informed for nearly a year on the waiting list to see a provider and has treated them as family members since 2019. They shared, “Our needs and concerns are always handled with sincere compassion. Dianne’s professionalism and attention to detail is to be commended. We cannot say enough about the care we are given at Carillion Family Clinic. Because she is the first person you see when checking in, it is Dianne who leaves an everlasting impression of Carilion. We have moved over 32 times throughout our military career and have met many receptionists and there have been none that could possibly compare to Dianne’s integrity and commitment to her job and the patients.”

We appreciate her commitment to our patients and our Carilion values. Congrats, Dianne!
