Simulation Center Achieves Recycling Goal!

The employees at the Center for Simulation, Research and Patient Safety ramped up their recycling efforts in April 2023 by working with Republic to transition their recycling container from just cardboard to a mixed recycling container (cardboard, paper, boxboard, aluminum, plastics # 1 and 2). The team set a goal to recycle 1,000 pounds and they did it in one year! Wow! This was primarily made up of cardboard, plastics, paper and soda cans from the building's operations.

Thank you to this team for your dedication to reducing the amount of waste being sent to the landfill. In addition to mixed recycling, the facility also recycles soda can tabs for the Ronald McDonald house, soft plastics, and batteries.
